The superior quality and structure of this wine pair exquisitely with Tuscan culinary delights. Whether indulging in hearty first courses or savoring succulent red meat dishes such as roast game, its versatility shines through.
From wild boar and hare-infused sauces to vegetable soufflés and spicy aged cheeses, each dish finds its perfect match in this wine.

San Gimignano DOC

Region of Origin

Located in central Italy along the Tyrrhenian coast, Tuscany is home to some of the world's most notable wine regions. San Gimignano DOC is one of the most famous of Tuscany's Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) titles. The geographical region it indicates is, in short, San Gimignano. San Gimignano DOC wines can be made only in the village of San Gimignano.

The Grapes

Nestled within the picturesque landscapes of San Gimignano, the Sangiovese grape thrives under the Tuscan sun, giving birth to a remarkable red wine. Embodying the essence of the region, this wine is a testament to the rich winemaking heritage of San Gimignano.

San Gimignano DOC is one of the most famous Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) titles in Tuscany. The grapes allowed in the composition of San Gimignano DOC red wine include Sangiovese (minimum 50%), along with Merlot, Syrah, and Pinot Noir (maximum 50%).
